Our Methods of pricing include:
1) Establish the Brand (American Eagle, Englehard, US 90%, Etc)
2) Establish the Size (1 oz, Kilo, Etc.)
3) Establish the “Spot “ price of Silver.
4) Establish the “Premium” or “Discount” to Spot Silver. (American Eagles have a slight premium but others have a slight discount).

These premiums and discounts are typically only a couple or a few percent difference and are mainly based on supply and demand. Remember: if a coin brings a slight premium over another coin, it usually means a slight premium was also paid for it originally.

Method of Payment - Bring the coins or bars into either Fox Valley Coin location. We will look at the current spot price and calculate the bullion price times the quantity that you have. (This is all done right in front of you and your items never leave your sight). We then either pay you right there on the spot or you may wish to keep some or all of it. We tell you the price free of charge regardless if you sell or not.

Method of Pricing
1) Establish the Coin (1916D Mercury Dime, 1889 CC Morgan Dollar, 1947 Philippine Peso, etc.)
2) Establish the Grade (About Uncirculated, MS 65, Proof, Business Strike, etc.)
3) Establish the Numismatic Value (Supply & Demand)

Method of Payment - Bring the coins into either Fox Valley Coin location. We will carefully inspect them and determine their value. (This is all done right in front of you and your items never leave your sight). We then either pay you right there on the spot or you may wish to keep some or all of them. We tell you the price free of charge regardless if you sell or not. You may wish to consign any or all to our Fox Valley Coin Auctions. We’ll discuss advantages and disadvantages of the auction.

Bring in your silver scrap and we can let you know what it is worth.

What We Buy

1) Jewelry Broken or nice. We pay according to the silver content. If you have something exceptional you might consider one of our auctions.

2) Flatware & Coffee/Tea Services – We always buy Silver Services. We’ll make on an the spot cash offer or consign to our auctions.

Silver Scrap Terms: Sterling = .925 fine (92.5% Pure). We always buy Sterling Silver. You might also consider selling through our auctions. Silver Plate = Very thin layer of silver (we typically don’t purchase this) however you might want to consider selling it through our auctions.
