Coin and Collectibles Auctions Every 60 Days at Fox Valley Coins, Inc.

Auctions at Fox Valley Coins, Inc. have attracted large audiences since their inception in 2000. Now, with this web site, a catalog of auction lot items (current or recent past) is always visible online [here] seven to ten days prior to each auction. After the auction events, the catalog remains online for reference purposes.

Over 900 coin lots and 400 antique lots were sold during a recent five-hour auction. Auctions are scheduled approximently every 60 days.

If you can't attend these auctions in person, there is an online bidding form here on this site - an absentee bidder's form. You can view it [here]. First you would review the online catalog (referenced earlier) and then you would use the online bidder's form to itemize lot numbers that interest you and your bid price in dollars.

When you submit your form by clicking on submit it's immediately sent to the web master who prints and registers your bids for use at the live auction. Bidding at the auction typically starts 25% lower than these absentee bids. Therefore sometimes (not often) you may win the bid at a lower price than you submitted.

As always, complimentary refreshments are served before the auction begins. Regular attendees will verify that the food is very satisfying and usually more extravagent that you would expect.

Auctions are presented by Don Benson of Benson's auction service (Illinois livense 0400000675). Auctions are sometimes held within the spacious Naperville store and at other times they are held next door in the conference center of the Omega restaurant on Routh 59 (next to the Naperville store).

Auction lots shown in the online auction catalog are auctioned in the order shown there. Coins and currencies are auctioned in rapid succession for about one hour, followed by the antique items shown in the auction lots catalog. Visitors to the Naperville store can see and view the auction lots five to seven days prior to each auction during business hours.

Auction bids range from $10 items to $100,000 items.
